Louisiana State Police looking for truck after hit-and-run crash leaves person dead
DENHAM SPRINGS, La. (BRPROUD) — Investigators are asking for the public’s help after a Denham Springs resident walking along a highway was killed in a hit-and-run crash.
Louisiana State Police said Deasha Doucet, 30, was hit by two cars while walking along La. Hwy. 447 near Andrews Road in Livingston Parish before 10 p.m. Wednesday.
Investigators said a pickup truck hit Doucet in the southbound lane and continued driving before Doucet was hit by another car. Officials said the driver of the second car stopped to help Doucet and report the crash.
Doucet was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to LSP, troopers believe the pickup to be a full-size gray or silver Chevrolet pickup of an unknown year and would have damage to the front center part of the truck.

An investigation is ongoing.
