Louisiana’s Democratic delegates will have to decide who they support at the Democratic National Convention on Aug. 19. Randal Gaines, the state party chairman, told BRProud they would endorse Harris as their nominee.

According to Secretary of State Nancy Landry’s office, the deadline for candidates for the presidential elector to file all the necessary qualifying documents with their office is Aug. 23.
