Love Island fans in hysterics as Craig David returns for Anton

Anton Danyluk's time in Love Island All Stars has peaked as Craig David returned to win his heart for a second time.

The reality TV star is having a second crack at finding love in the ITV2 show and has formed a strong connection with Georgia Harrison, but in Wednesday's episode he looked ready to forget her as soon as he heard Rewind singer David was coming back to the villa, leaving viewers in hysterics.

Danyluk is known for his emotional reaction to David performing at the villa in the 2019 series, which famously left him in tears.

What, how, and why?

Love Island's latest episode might have started out slow with some viewers labelling it a "snoozefest", but things were about to get a whole lot more exciting for one contestant as a bombshell of a different kind made his way back to the villa.

Anton Danyluk had impressed love interest Georgia Harrison with a romantic picnic earlier in the day, but he seemed to have forgotten all about her as he struggled to contain his emotions when a text came through later on.

He excitedly read out to the group: "It's time to get glam because tonight the villa will host a VIP performance from an international superstar #Rewind #FillMeIn"

Danyluk couldn't believe Craig David was heading back for a repeat performance - the Islander had been brought to tears watching David perform on the show during his first stint in the villa back in 2019.

The other male contestants cheered Danyluk on and said: "Anton reunited with Craig David. Will you be p***ed off if you don't get a shout out?" as he got ready for the evening, even applying make-up to look his best.

Meanwhile, Harrison looked less excited as she told the group: "I think I'll be fighting with Craig David for attention tonight. I can't compete with that, to be honest."

Danyluk was at the front of the crowd dancing along to the performance and said: "Absolutely amazing seeing Craig David, he obviously gave me a handshake and acknowledged me straight away. His performance was unbelievable as always, I would expect nothing else from the legend."

Viewers found the moment hilarious as one person wrote on X: "Never forget anton crying the last time craig david performed in the villa," and someone else commented: "Anton’s got more of a connection with Craig David than Georgia."

After seeing his idol, Danyluk was so elated that he made a public speech asking Harrison to be exclusive with him, but one viewer joked: "Anton's going to ask Craig David to be exclusive omg."

Fans loved the special moment, with one person writing: "Anton putting make up on for his reunion with Craig David is hilarious," and someone else adding: "craig david and anton have the history georgia wishes she had with tobes."

Another viewer wrote: "Love Island producers bringing back Craig David just for Anton might be the best thing they’ve done this season."

One viewer commented: "Get you someone that looks at you the way Anton looks at Craig David."

What else happened on Love Island All Stars?

Craig David's performance also included a shock bombshell for another of the Islanders, as Arabella Chi was embarrassed to see her ex Wes Nelson drop in to sing with him.

Former Islander Nelson made an unexpected appearance in the villa to perform Abracadabra with David as Chi looked horrified and commented on how awkward it was to be dancing along to it.

She later said: "It was quite a surprise but I have to be honest, I much prefer him performing and leaving than being a bombshell so I feel like it was a bit of a silver lining this evening."

Chi and Nelson had spent part of lockdown together which began shortly after they started dating, but were thought to have split in April 2020.

Love Island All Stars airs on ITV2 at 9pm.
