Lowell man arrested on 28 charges, including five rape charges

LOWELL, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Lowell man has been arrested on more than two dozen charges, according to a social media post from the department.

Juan Manuel Medina was arrested on June 12 on 28 charges:

  • Five counts of rape

  • Three counts of internet stalking of a child

  • Three counts of computer child pornography

  • Three counts of distributing, possessing or viewing child pornography

  • Three counts of sexual extortion

  • Two counts of sexual indecency with a child

  • Three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor

  • Three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor

  • Three counts of sexual solicitation

LPD said on June 10, it received a call regarding a possible sexual assault. The department interviewed witnesses and victims and received electronic evidence.

Medina is being held at the Benton County Jail on a $1 million bond, according to his booking.

LPD said this in an ongoing investigation and no other information can be released at this time.
