Lowell man arrested on 28 charges, including five rape charges
LOWELL, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — A Lowell man has been arrested on more than two dozen charges, according to a social media post from the department.
Juan Manuel Medina was arrested on June 12 on 28 charges:
Five counts of rape
Three counts of internet stalking of a child
Three counts of computer child pornography
Three counts of distributing, possessing or viewing child pornography
Three counts of sexual extortion
Two counts of sexual indecency with a child
Three counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor
Three counts of second-degree endangering the welfare of a minor
Three counts of sexual solicitation
Fayetteville police on scene of bank robbery, bomb threat
LPD said on June 10, it received a call regarding a possible sexual assault. The department interviewed witnesses and victims and received electronic evidence.
Medina is being held at the Benton County Jail on a $1 million bond, according to his booking.
LPD said this in an ongoing investigation and no other information can be released at this time.
