Mad Men actor Robert Morse dies aged 90
Robert Morse, more recently known for starring on AMC's hit series Mad Men, has died at the age of 90.
The actor portrayed Bertrand 'Bert' Cooper, the eccentric head of advertising agency Sterling Cooper in the period drama led by Jon Hamm. The role of Bert earned Morse five Emmy nominations.
Before starring in Mad Men, Morse had been a successful stage actor and a two-time Tony Award winner. He featured in both the 1961 play and the subsequent film adaptation of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying, winning his first Tony for his role in the theatre production. He received his second Tony Award for the role of Truman Capote in 1989 one-man show Tru.

Writer and producer Larry Karaszewski was among the first to pay tribute to Morse, looking back on their work together on The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story.
"My good pal Bobby Morse has passed away at age 90," Karaszewski wrote on Twitter.
"A huge talent and a beautiful spirit. Sending love to his son Charlie and daughter Allyn. Had so much fun hanging with Bobby over the years – filming People v OJ and hosting so many screenings (How To Succeed, Loved One, That's Life)."

The official Twitter account of Mad Men also celebrated the late actor, calling him "one of the greats".
Mad Men star Michael Gladis, who played Paul Kinsey on the show, took to Twitter to share a heartfelt message after Morse's passing, speaking of the honour he had of knowing him.
"RIP Bobby Morse. One of a kind. This Bert Cooper scowl would break into a twinkling grin in a moment. His love of acting was only surpassed by the love for his family. Honored to have known and worked with him."
