Madison County detective released from hospital following on-duty wreck
MADISON COUNTY, Ala. (WHNT) — The Madison County detective who was seriously injured in a crash just over a week ago has been released from the hospital.
The Madison County Sheriff’s Office says Detective Josh Moseley was discharged from Huntsville Hospital on Thursday after being treated for serious injuries received in a vehicle accident.

Moseley was seriously injured when he was involved in a wreck while working traffic control on I-565 around 9:13 p.m. on July 17. MCSO said he underwent several surgeries and was receiving treatment in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) at Huntsville Hospital.
“I am deeply grateful for the outpouring of kindness and concern from my department, citizens of Madison County, and beyond,” said Detective Moseley. “The thoughts, prayers, and well-wishes have been a beacon of hope and inspiration throughout my recovery. I am truly humbled by the generosity and compassion of our community.”
The Rocket City Federal Credit Union has set up a “Detective Josh Moseley Fund” account to help assist with his recovery. All donations will be used to help with Moseley’s medical expenses and other related costs.
