Timothy reflected on his mental health journey and its connection to the famous actor on The Awake and Aware podcast.

"We’re all human, it doesn’t matter whether you’ve got this magical life or you don’t," he began. "We’re all human, we all have these emotions. We all suffer from self doubt or whatever.

"I met Robin Williams once. I got the opportunity to meet him once. It really affected me when I found out about [his death] because it was suicide and this is a guy that has all the money in the world, all the fame in the world, and things still ate him up.

"So, it doesn’t matter what level you’re at in life. Whether you’re struggling to make the bills or you’re a big superstar, we all feel the pain and we’ve all got to control it some way.

"We’ve all got to learn to control it because you can’t let it get out of control. If you do, and I have let it get out of control, you’ve got to reach out for help."

Timothy has been very vocal in the past about the importance of mental health support, having publicly opened up about his own struggles.

During his time on MAFS, Timothy shared how his mental health was impacted following the deaths of his mother, brother and father.

He explained how he particularly struggled to come to terms with the loss of his brother, who died by suicide.

Timothy isn't the only MAFS star to open up about the value of mental health support in recent weeks.

Season nine star Domenica Calarco recently spoke out about her experience admitting herself to a mental health facility earlier this year.
