Man accused of leaving scene after Canal Street hit-and-run with pedestrian

NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is looking for a man who’s accused of hitting a pedestrian on Canal Street and leaving the scene.

According to the NOPD, the man was driving a black Cadillac Escalade around 1 p.m. on July 17 when he hit the pedestrian on Canal Street near South Claiborne Avenue.
He allegedly left the scene without identifying himself to the victim.
