Man accused of stabbing after Kingston bar fight

KINGSTON, LUZERNE COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An argument between two men at a bar in Kingston led to a stabbing early Monday, police stated.

According to the Kingston Police Department, around 2:30 a.m. Monday, officers were on patrol on Zerby Avenue and Pulaski Street when they saw two men fighting after leaving Rush Inn.

Officers said the two separated and walked away when they turned on their emergency lights.

Police say they were able to stop one man who was found to be suffering from a stabbed wound in the chest. The victim was then taken to Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center in Plains Township.

15-year-old charged with stabbing in Wilkes-Barre

The second man was identified as Justin Moore, 24, of Nanticoke, and he was arrested on the scene.

Moore told offices that he and the victim argued inside Rush Inn and when the two exited the bar he claimed the victim punched him.

Investigators have charged Moore with aggravated assault and simple assault. He remains in the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on a $100,000 bail.
