Man admits to manslaughter after 2022 Buffalo assault
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A man involved in a fatal 2022 assault in Buffalo has pleaded guilty to manslaughter, according to the Erie County District Attorney’s Office.
Buffalo man sentenced to 8 years in prison for fatally assaulting victim
Around 10 p.m. on Dec. 17, 40-year-old Christopher Busby and two Buffalo men, one being his son, assaulted 25-year-old Mikhail Scott inside an apartment building on the 100 block of Rodney St.
Scott was repeatedly punched, kicked and dragged from the apartment to the sidewalk. He was taken to ECMC where he died from his injuries.
Busby is scheduled to be sentenced on Aug. 19 and faces a maximum of 25 years in prison. He was released on bail set at $300,000.
His son, 21-year-old Daiquan Busby, faces the same sentence.
