Troopers said the chase ended near North Claiborne Avenue and Touro Street, where Alexander allegedly got out of the car and ran from the scene.

According to the LSP, Alexander “discarded a Glock firearm and a bag containing narcotics.”

Alexander was taken into custody, and LSP troopers said they recovered 14 grams of fentanyl and 22 doses of Suboxone in addition to the car and gun.

Following an investigation, LSP officials said the car was found to have been reported as stolen from Texas, and the gun was reported as stolen from New Orleans.
