Man charged with attempted murder in connection with Buffalo shooting
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has been charged with attempted murder among other charges in connection with a Monday night shooting on Tonawanda Street, the Buffalo Police Department announced.
Officers responded to a shooting call on the 800 block of Tonawanda Street around 10:30 p.m. Monday. A 19-year-old North Tonawanda man was found with gunshot wounds to his leg, police said.
An ambulance transported the man to ECMC for a life-threatening injury. A Security-9 pistol was recovered.
37-year-old Hector Martinez was allegedly apprehended on the 200 block of Thompson Street without incident and was charged with the following:
second-degree attempted murder
first-degree assault
second-degree criminal possession of a weapon
first-degree reckless endangerment
The victim is currently in stable condition.
