Man charged in deadly shooting at Kansas City Northland apartment
KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A 31-year-old Kansas City, Missouri man is facing charges in connection into a deadly shooting at a Northland apartment Wednesday morning.
Clay County prosecutors have charged Jaymes D. Henderson with first-degree murder, armed criminal action and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Kansas City police officers responded to the shooting just after 6 a.m. at N. Hickory Street and NW 80th Terrace, near the intersection of NW Barry Road and 169 Highway.
At the scene, officers found a man who had been shot and was unresponsive inside the apartment. He was later identified as 27-year-old Christopher Henderson.
Police said the shooting happened following some kind of interaction with another person inside the apartment.

After attempting aid at the scene, emergency responders took Christopher Henderson to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Jaymes Henderson was found nearby and taken into custody for questioning. He’s being held on a $1 million bond.
