Ryan Lloyd, a neighbor in the area, told KOIN 6 News the shooting woke him out of his sleep.

“At least 5 or 6 gunshots,” he recalled. “It was pretty quick.”

Lloyd added that this shooting is not something that typically happens here, believing it to be an isolated incident.

“I used to live in Southeast Portland,” he said. “It seemed like it happened a lot more there but here it seems a little safer. It’s just unfortunate someone gets hurt.”
