Man dies in motorcycle crash in Clay County: KHP
CLAY COUNTY (KSNT) – State troopers are identifying a man who was killed in a deadly crash over the weekend in Clay County.
The Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP) released a crash log for an incident that occurred around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 3 on K-15 about one mile north of 30th Road. A Chevrolet Tahoe was traveling north on the highway when it attempted to turn west on K-9. A Harley-Davidson motorcycle was heading south on K-15 when the Tahoe turned in front of it.
The motorcycle was hit by the Tahoe with both vehicles coming to a stop on K-15. The man driving the motorcycle, Daniel E. Barnhill, 56, of Washington was killed in the crash. His passenger, a 58-year-old woman from Washington, was seriously injured in the crash. The driver of the Tahoe was uninjured.
