Man killed in early morning 7th Ward shooting
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed in the 7th Ward neighborhood early Wednesday, July 17.
Around 2:19 a.m., officers reported being called to a shooting in the 1400 block of North Claiborne Avenue.

Upon arrival, NOPD offices said a man was found inside a home suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.

He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Further details aren’t available at this time. The NOPD is in the process of gathering evidence and information to determine a possible suspect and motive.
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office will release the victim’s identity after an autopsy is done and the family is notified.
