Man pleads guilty to injuring pedestrian in 2021
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Buffalo man has pleaded guilty to a reckless driving charge for injuring a pedestrian in Cheektowaga in 2021, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Monday.
According to the DA’s office, Timothy Wagner, 29, hit a 60-year-old Depew man while driving eastbound on Losson Road near Wedgewood Drive on the morning of April 19, 2021. The man was hit from behind as Wagner veered onto the shoulder, the DA’s office said. Wagner also left the scene without reporting to police and was found later that day.
The victim was taken to the hospital, where he underwent multiple surgeries for his injuries.
Wagner pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of reckless driving. He faces up to 30 days in jail when he is sentenced on June 20. He was released on his own recognizance.
