BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A 55-year-old man has pleaded guilty to charges in connection to stealing nearly $13,000 in merchandise during a five-week crime spree in early 2023, the Erie County District Attorney’s Office said Thursday.

Jordan Ellison, of Rochester, admitted to nine different retail crimes between Jan. 4 and Feb. 4, 2023. The crimes took place at six different retailers in four jurisdictions in Erie County.

Ellison was apprehended once, which allowed the merchandise to be recovered and returned. In total, he stole property with a total combined value of $12,902.

He pleaded guilty on Wednesday to eight counts of fourth-degree grand larceny and one count of third-degree robbery. He faces a maximum of four years in prison when he is sentenced on Jan. 22, 2025.

As part of the sentencing process, prosecutors said they will request that the court signs confessions of judgement and trespass notices for each retailer, barring him from entering the stores in the future.
