Man to spend 60 years in prison for 2022 Woodbridge double murder related to gang intitation
PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY, Va. (DC News Now) — A man will spend decades in prison for his involvement in a gang-related double murder that happened in Woodbridge in 2022.
Anthony Perkins was sentenced to 60 years after being convicted in June on two counts of first-degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder and gang participation involving a juvenile, officials with the Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney announced.
On May 15, 2022, police found 23-year-old Malik Xavier Lamar Davis and 23-year-old Christian Jamar Roberts shot to death at the Woodbridge Station Apartments. Investigators said they were killed by two teenagers who were trying to join the Bloods street gang.

The Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney said Perkins was already a gang member and told the two boys they had to commit a crime to prove their loyalty. He told them that killing one of the victims would “work” to get into the gang.
They decided to shoot both Davis and Roberts because they believed one of them was armed and would shoot back.
After his conviction, the Commonwealth’s Attorney Amy Ashworth stated, in part, “Mr. Perkins is an adult who used his influence as a gang member to direct the murder of an individual at the hands of two juveniles. This ultimately ended with the senseless deaths of two young men. So many lives have been affected by this criminal behavior.”
Perkins was sentenced to 70 years with 10 years suspended, meaning he will spend 60 years in prison, followed by a “period of indefinite probation upon his release.”
