Man wanted for murder in North Carolina arrested in Geauga County
CHARDON TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WJW) – The Geauga County sheriff confirmed to the FOX 8 I-Team that a man wanted for a murder in North Carolina has been arrested in Chardon Township.
Matthew Edward Dolan was arrested by Geauga County sheriff’s deputies Monday afternoon.
“We arrested him and he is now in our jail,” said Sheriff Scott Hildenbrand. He is now waiting for extradition back to North Carolina.

According to a press release posted on the Pender County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page, Dolan is accused of killing his sister.
The press release further stated the victim, Megan Elizabeth Dolan, was found deceased in a home on Master’s Lane in Hampstead, North Carolina, Sunday evening. She was found after firefighters were battling a blaze at the home.
Officials did not release a motive for the murder.
