Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) argued MAGA loyalists like herself deserve priority consideration for cabinet positions over “brand-new people” in Donald Trump’s circle.

The Georgia congresswoman‘s claim came during a panel appearance Wednesday on Real America’s Voice after host Beau Davidson asked who among those surrounding Trump, specifically Elon Musk, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Vivek Ramaswamy did she hope to see serving on the president elect’s cabinet.

“Those are brand-new people,” Greene said. “RFK, Vivek, they both tried to beat [Trump] in the presidential race this year.”

Instead, she claimed, “It’s important to realize who stood with President Trump from the beginning, never backed down, never stabbed him in the back, never tried to beat him.”

“And there’s those of us that have been very loyal,” Greene added. ”We understand his policies, we support them through and through. And I’d like to see people like us that have done that very much involved.”

In an appearance Wednesday on the War Room podcast, ex-Trump aide Steve Bannon floated the idea of Greene heading the Department of Homeland Security.

“You’re such a fighter,” Bannon said. “Now, is there truth to the rumor that you’re going to take over at DHS?”

Greene, however, said she had no insight into the decision.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen, Steve,” she said.

As one of the president elect‘s loudest supporters, Greene was rumored to have been in the running for Trump’s vice presidential pick. But, Trump has yet to publicly discuss potential roles for her in his coming administration.

During an Election Night broadcast on Real America’s Voice, however, former Trump adviser and election denialist Steve Bannon asked the Georgia congresswoman if there was “truth to the rumor” she would be taking over the Department of Homeland Security, a role she previously said she would like.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen, Steve,” Greene responded, laughing. “We’re just thrilled to have President Trump back in the White House because everyone knows what that means.”
