According to the third season's logline, a string of explosions rocks Kingstown and its citizens as a new face of the Russian mob makes their mark.
The pressure is on Mike McLusky (reprised by Renner) to end the drug war, "but things get complicated when a familiar face from his incarcerated past threatens to undermine the Mayor's attempts to keep the peace among all factions."
It was announced back in September that Dianne Wiest would be bowing out as the McLusky clan's matriarch Miriam this time around, with Deadline reporting that her exit was "story-driven".

Between the second and third seasons of Kingstown, Renner was involved in and has subsequently recovered from a horrific snowplough incident that saw him break 30 bones.
Speaking to PEOPLE, the star revealed how his friend and MCU colleague Robert Downey Jr regularly checked in on him after the event. "We ended up having really great chats on FaceTime, like we were dating or something," he said.
"He's like, 'Dude, the most important thing is you look good. I don't care how you feel, as long as you look good that's all that matters.' He's like, 'You've got to get back to do Mayor of Kingstown, because we need to see what happens.' His ways are very heartwarming."
