Meet the 20th Senate District candidates in the Republican primary in Tuesday's election
Two candidates are running in the Republican primary for the 20th Senate District seat of the state Legislature in the Aug. 13 primary election.
Daniel Feyen, the incumbent in the 18th Senate District, faces Timothy Ramthun, a former state Assembly representative and 2022 candidate for governor. The winner will take on Democrat Michael Rapp in the Nov. 5 general election.
Because Wisconsin got new, more competitive legislative maps, some incumbent legislators — like Feyen — are running in a different district.
In the Milwaukee area, the 20th Senate District includes the northern halves of Ozaukee and Washington counties, including Saukville, Slinger, West Bend, Fredonia and Belgium.

Note: The partisan lean of districts is calculated based on voting data from national and local elections from 2016 to 2022. Districts with less than 5% difference in Republican and Democratic votes are considered competitive districts.
