Mega Millions over $500M for third time this year
(WJW) – The Mega Millions jackpot has hit more than $500 million ahead of the Friday drawing for the third time this year.
With no tickets matching all six numbers drawn Tuesday night, the jackpot for the Friday, August 23 drawing has hit $527 million, with a $261.9 million cash prize.

Tuesday night’s winning numbers were 5, 20, 26, 49, 51 and Mega Ball 24.
The last Mega Millions jackpot was won in Illinois on June 4 with a $552 million prize.
If it’s won, Friday’s $527 million jackpot will be the 13th largest prize in the history of the Mega Millions.

Mega Millions tickets are $2 each. The Megaplier can also be added for an additional $1.
The next drawing will be held on Friday at 11 p.m.
