Mega Millions jackpot never won at this level
(WJW) – No one was lucky enough to match all six numbers in Tuesday night’s Mega Millions drawing which means the jackpot just jumped, again!
Lottery officials said the jackpot has reached an estimated $740 million, if won at that size it would be the game’s seventh-largest jackpot ever.

Historically, lottery officials have said that September is a lucky month for jackpot wins – a total of 22 have been won in September since the Mega Millions game started 22 years ago.
But on the flip side, there has never been a Mega Millions jackpot won at the size it is now — between $656 million and $1 billion. Lottery experts explain, that in all six previous jackpot runs that hit this level the top prize continued rolling past the major $1 billion mark.
So which trend will hold? Only time will tell. The next drawing is Friday, Sept. 6.
