Mega Millions ticket hits $2 million in NE Ohio
(WJW) – It’s time to check those Mega Millions tickets.
Someone in Northeast Ohio could be holding a lucky ticket worth $2 million!
According to lottery officials, the ticket matched five out five numbers correctly in the Friday, Sept. 6 drawing plus the ‘Megaplier’ to double their $1 million winnings.
‘Peanut-shaped’ roundabout coming to NE Ohio
The winning ticket was sold at Mickey Mart in North Ridgeville, according to lottery officials.
The ticket was just one number short of hitting the jackpot which would have netted the winner $740 million! Lottery officials said no one was lucky enough to hit the Mega Millions jackpot in the drawing. The jackpot has now grown to an estimated $800 million.
The numbers in Friday night’s drawing were: 6-23-41-59-63 and Megaball 25.

How to win the lottery in Ohio, according to math
The $2 million win in Ohio was the drawing’s biggest prize but there were five other big winners. Lottery players in California, Florida, Illinois, New Hampshire and Texas, each won $1 million prizes, according to lottery officials. And, two people in Ohio won $10,000.
The next Mega Millions drawing is Tuesday, Sept. 10.
The odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are just 1 in 302,575,350.
