Meghan Trainor welcomes baby son and reveals his name with sweet photo
Congratulations are in order for Meghan Trainor, who has given birth to her first child.
The All About That Bass singer has welcomed a baby boy, revealing his arrival on his due date - although he was actually born nearly a week earlier.
In a sweet Instagram post, Trainor proudly showed off the first public photo of her little boy and shared his name with fans.
She wrote: "This sweet baby boy’s due date was today on Valentine’s Day. We got to meet him Monday, Feb 8th!
"We are SO IN LOVE. Thank you @darylsabara for the best Valentine’s gift ever! Welcome to the world Riley!"
Riley is Trainor and her husband, Spy Kids star Daryl Sabara's first child, and they announced their pregnancy in October.
Stars offering their congratulations included Stranger Things actor Millie Bobby Brown, who wrote: "Oh my God. Happy valentines day riley. Love you Meghan, and Daryl. Congratulations. Your going to be amazing parents and teach baby riley all about spy kids and MUSIC!!!"
Gloria Gaynor commented: "Wishing you both all the blessings a new baby brings. Congratulations."
Jennifer Love Hewitt wrote: "So proud of you and congrats!!"
Trainor had said she had found some aspects of being pregnant in lockdown a little easier than it would have been in a normal year.
She appeared on a video interview with The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where she said: “It was great not travelling, and if I felt sick, I was like, ‘Well, at least I'm home and doing interviews like this.’ I was so lucky for that.”
The singer and former Voice UK mentor met husband Sabara at a party in 2014, began dating him in 2016, and the couple got married on her 25th birthday - 22 December, 2018.
