Melania and Ivanka Trump will be in Milwaukee for the RNC, reports say
Ever since the start of the 2024 Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, political observers from both parties have wondered: Where is former President Donald Trump's wife, Melania? And where's his daughter and former adviser, Ivanka?
Both have been noticeably absent in a week of RNC events where other members of the Trump dynasty have taken center stage. Their absence have led many to wonder where they are and why they haven’t shown up.
Now, it looks like Milwaukee can expect to see both Melania and Ivanka at the Republican National Convention on its final day:
Melania Trump will be at RNC Thursday night, USA TODAY reports
USA TODAY, citing unnamed officials, reported Thursday that Melania Trump will be in attendance when her husband formally accepts the GOP’s nomination tonight and is expected to be seated in the family box at the RNC. Officials didn't provide additional details of her arrival, or say whether she would speak to the delegates.
For most of Trump’s 2024 presidential campaign, Melania has stayed out of the public eye. Her attendance Thursday night will mark her first public appearance since speaking out about the assassination attempt on her husband.
Ivanka Trump will be at RNC Thursday night, Eric Trump says
Eric Trump, son of the former president, told Tony Dokoupil of "CBS Mornings" that both Melania and Ivanka Trump will be at the RNC in Milwaukee Thursday.
“They’re coming in full force and effect, so they’ll certainly be here,” Eric Trump said.
Ivanka had been a prominent force in previous Trump campaigns, accompanying Trump on the 2016 campaign trail and working as a White House senior adviser in his administration.
In 2022, Ivanka announced that she was stepping away from the political limelight, focusing instead on her children “and the private life we are creating as a family.”
