Melania Trump scheduled to hold second fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans next month

WASHINGTON — Former First Lady Melania Trump is scheduled to hold a second fundraiser on July 8 for the Log Cabin Republicans, an organization representing LGBT conservatives and allies.

Trump wil host the fundraiser at Trump Tower in New York, the organization told USA TODAY.

The Log Cabin Republicans will use the funds to benefit their “Road to Victory'' program, according to Politico, which will be used to turn out voters for Trump and other Republicans running for office. The outlet first reported on the development.

The July fundraiser comes as Trump has largely stayed in the shadows of her husband former President Donald Trump’s 2024 presidential run.

Melania Trump previously held a fundraiser for the Log Cabin Republicans in April at the Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida, where she and former President Donald Trump live.

In 2021, she was a guest of honor at the organization’s annual gala held at the Mar-a-Lago, where she was given the Spirit of Lincoln Award.

When asked in March whether she would appear on the campaign trail with Donald Trump, CNN reported Melania Trump said, “stay tuned.”
