Michael Hall Jr. practicing with Browns day after domestic violence charge
BEREA, Ohio (WJW/AP) — A Cleveland Browns rookie facing a domestic violence charge was back at the team’s practice facility Wednesday, according to a spokesperson, just one day after he bonded out of jail.
According to a police report obtained by FOX 8, officers were told an argument between Michael Hall Jr. and his fiancée began over finances regarding a dental procedure for her 11-month-old. But things quickly escalated, leading to him allegedly putting a gun to the woman’s head.

The Browns have not announced a discipline timeline for Hall, and it’s not clear what his role with the team is going to be moving forward.
Hall was reportedly not seen on the field at the end of the morning walk-through, as the Browns geared up for a joint practice scheduled Wednesday with the Minnesota Vikings. However, in the afternoon, he was spotted on the practice field, before leaving with a leg injury. The team has not yet offered updates on his health status.

When head coach Kevin Stefasnki was questioned about the decision to let Hall play, he said he couldn’t get into that.
The last Cleveland Browns statement regarding the incident came Tuesday morning:
“We are aware of the incident involving Mike Hall, Jr. last night. Mike and his representatives have been in touch with the appropriate authorities. We are in the process of gathering more information and will have no further comment at the time.”
Browns safety Rodney McLeod told reporters Hall’s teammates would support him.
“We’re a team. We’re a family,” he said. “And we’re understanding that certain things are going to arise and take place and so you have to treat it as such. We’re all human beings and so for us we’re just trying to learn more about what took place and we will handle things accordingly.”
The defensive tackle is due back in court next month.
Hall, 21, was formerly a player for the Ohio State University and played high school football in Streetsboro. He was selected 54th overall in the 2024 NFL Draft.
