Mickey Guyton, Jason Isbell And James Taylor To Perform On Democratic National Convention’s First Night
Mickey Guyton, Jason Isbell and James Taylor will perform at the Democratic National Convention this evening.
Taylor practiced You’ve Got A Friend in the afternoon to a largely empty United Center arena. His rehearsal came about a half hour before President Joe Biden did a walk through of the stage, in advance of his speech, which will be the finale of tonight’s proceedings.

A DNC official also said that Jeffrey Wright will narrate a convention film short to be shown this evening. Dawn Porter and his production company, Trilogy Films, are producing a movie about Biden and the Democratic party.
Taylor also performed at the 2012 Democratic convention in Charlotte.
Tony Goldwyn will host the first night, which also will feature Hillary Clinton, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Gov. Andy Beshear.
