Millville teen killed in motorcycle accident in Vineland

VINELAND - A 16-year-old Millville boy was killed late Monday night in an accident between his motorcycle and a SUV, according to police.

Police on Tuesday said Thomas E. Gauntt IV was pronounced dead at the scene. He was riding a Honda street bike and the other vehicle was a 2018 Nissan Rogue, police said.

Police responded at 11:37 p.m. Monday, and the Traffic Safety Unit was sent due to the severity of the crash.

The investigation so far indicates Vineland resident Sarah Koroma was headed north on South Lincoln Avenue. Koroma attempted a left turn onto South Brewster Road. At that point, the motorcycle struck the front of the vehicle, police say.

Koroma, 33, was not injured.

Police say the investigation continues and no charges have been filed. Officer Christian Morales is the lead investigator. He can be contacted at (856) 691-4111, extension 4942.
