By August 2024, investigators said they had reason to believe Carroll could be dead – though her remains have yet to be found.
“We can confirm that we presume Alana Carroll to be deceased and that we continue to actively investigate this case in an effort to locate her remains and discern her cause and manner of disappearance,” officials said. “We have several leads that we are working, and we have identified a suspect in this case who is currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.”
A search warrant provided to KOIN 6 News by the Clark County Clerk’s Office named a person under investigation in the case of Carroll’s death. However, the man has yet to be charged of a crime related to her disappearance.
