Model Mania: Josephine Loves Rock n' Roll
Elle Muliarchyk is a photographer and multimedia artist who aims to reinvent the way we look at fashion and beauty images. She is known for injecting her work with a sense of humor, and a bit of magic. For this project, she teamed up with Art Director Vita Raykhman, and stylist Priscilla Polley to do some quick-change transformations with some of coolest models around from The Society Management. We then had the girls answer our version of a Proust Questionnaire, and it showed they are just as fun and inventive off camera as they are in front of it.
Here’s 21 year old Danish model Josephine Skriver to rock you through to the weekend.
Yahoo Style: What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Josephine Skriver: My favorite things in the world are my loved ones and traveling, so it would have to be seeing the world with the people that mean the most to me. One day I will buy a boat and take all of my family and friends with me to sail around the world (I’m only half kidding).
YS: What is your greatest extravagance?
JS: My greatest “extravagance” would probably be traveling. And I never regret a cent or second of it. Memories and adventures are the few things you can buy for yourself that no one can ever take away from you!
YS: What’s your most treasured possession?
JS: Other than the obvious answers such as my cell phone and computer, I would have to say my Netflix account. I don’t know what I would do on my flights or late at night without having access to all of my favorite movies and tv shows. Right now, I’m watching Sons of Anarchy and Orange is the New Black.
YS: If you weren’t a model, what job would you most like to have?
JS: Ever since I was a little girl, I have always been really into math and science - more the numbers and chemistry side of things than the creative side. I also love helping people, so I think often about going back to school to become a doctor or entering into the medical field in general.
YS: What is the last book you read?
JS: The last book I read was The Tipping Point by Malcolm Gladwell. I love how he explores the “Why” of human thinking, and not just the “What.”
YS: Who is your hero in fiction (books/movies/etc)?
JS: Batman. Who doesn’t love a man of mystery? Plus, he saves lives (And wears all black and drives some pretty incredible cars)…what’s not to love?
YS: What is your life motto?
JS: My life motto would be “pay it forward.” The more you give in life, the more you will get in return…though the receiving part is by far the less important of the two.
YS: Which word or phrase do you use the most?
JS: I’ve been talking like a surfer girl lately, so right now it’s “totally” and “dude.” Guess just like most girls, I love the California sun!
YS: Do you have any musical fashion icons?
JS: There is something incredible about the edginess of Rihanna. She takes rock’n roll and blends it with high fashion. Plus she just oozes confidence!
YS: Do you play any instruments?
JS: I mean…I’m pretty good at air drumming, does that count? I hope it does, because that’s all I’ve got :)
