Donald Trump was shot in the ear at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on Saturday, 13 July, in an incident that is being investigated as an assassination attempt according to the FBI.

Footage shows several popping sounds ringing out before the former president ducked to the ground and was smothered by security detail.

Mr Trump was then seen with blood on one side of his face and held up a fist to the crowd as he was led away.

He later remarked that he was “fine.”

A post on Mr Trump’s Truth Social account said that he “heard a whizzing sound, shots, and immediately felt the bullet ripping through the skin.”
