This Morning's Alison Hammond makes rare comment on split from son's father
This Morning star Alison Hammond has made a rare comment on her split from the father of her son.
Hammond was previously married to Noureddine Boufaied, with whom she shares a son. The pair divorced, and the former Big Brother and I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! star has seldom addressed the separation.
However, during a recent interview with pop singer Paloma Faith on This Morning, Hammond made a rare comment after Faith opened up about her split from her partner.

While promoting her upcoming album The Glorification of Sadness, Faith said that the split from her daughter's father is her, "biggest failure and probably ... only regret."
This prompted Hammond to comfort Faith, by way of bringing up her own split.
"Firstly, Paloma, it's not a failure. This is life. People will split up. Just the fact that it's the children's dad you split up with doesn't make you a failure, you might even find that it's your biggest success."

The host then assured her guest that she was "smashing life," and added: "Don't ever say that's a failure, that's your life, that's your journey, that's your story, and that's how it's going."
Hammond continued, saying: "You're not a failure, listen, I felt that failure when I split up with my son's dad but you know, his dad now moved on, he's married, he's got three other children, they're part of our family as well. You don't know how it's going to work out, it's part of your story."
