In Ohio, based on the number of fatal crashes, the most dangerous time of day to drive is from 6 p.m. to 6:59 p.m.
According to the data, 402 of 6705 fatal crashes occurred at this time from 2017 to 2022.

“While rush hour is the most dangerous time to drive, and all states had the most fatalities during the afternoon and evening, not a single state had its highest numbers in the morning, which is surprising,” a spokesperson for Scott Vicknair said in a press release.
6 p.m. to 6:59 p.m. saw the most fatalities overall nationwide.
