Moving on: North Schuylkill graduates 150
Jun. 4—FOUNTAIN SPRINGS — As of press time, North Schuylkill High School planned for graduation exercises for its 150 seniors at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2, at Ghosh Orthodontics Field at Spartan Stadium.
In the event of rain, the date was scheduled for 7 p.m. Thursday, June 3, also at the stadium, according to Mike Evans, school social worker and a senior class adviser. Masks were required at the graduation ceremony.
The valedictorian and salutatorian were announced at the Virtual Senior Awards Night that was held Thursday, May 27.
The senior class officers include Nicholas Perneta, president; Zachary Piampi, vice president; Savannah Blackwell, secretary; Ashley O'Connor, treasurer; and Kacandra Joy, historian.
Evans and Nicholas Brayford are class advisers.
The class colors are red, white and blue and its flower is the sunflower. The class motto is "It is what it is" and its song, "Six Feet Apart" by Luke Combs.
The prom was held May 8 at Capriotti's in McAdoo.
