The driver 84-year-old Charlie Parker and two passengers, 64-year-old Darlene Burrell and 61-year-old Cassandra Brown, on the bus died at the scene.

The driver of the dump truck was not injured.

MSP said investigators do not believe that impairment was a factor in the collision.

MSP trooper Lt. Everett West said his heart breaks for all the victims involved.

“Whenever anything likes regardless of the age it’s someone’s brother or someone’s father or sister so there are families that will feel the impact of this and it’s always tragic,” he said.

West said it was one of the worst accidents he has responded to.

“It was a very somber scene with all the first responders and police agencies and fire and many others. And we were very upset about what a tragic loss it was,” he said.
