3 hospitalized, 1 dead after five-vehicle crash in Albuquerque

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The Albuquerque Fire Rescue (AFR) reported a multiple-injury crash on Sunday evening. They said they were dispatched to Lomas and 2nd Street around 7:29 p.m.
Albuquerque Police Department (APD) said a vehicle was on Lomas and hit by another one at the 2nd Street intersection. This forced the first vehicle to hit three others at a red light.

The driver of the second vehicle died, and three people were taken to the hospital.
Speeding may have been a factor in the crash, but APD is investigating.
