Mystery surrounds suspect secretly recording women in Cleveland restaurant bathroom

CLEVELAND (WJW) — The FOX 8 I-Team has uncovered more of a mystery surrounding a man suspected of secretly videotaping women in the bathroom of a restaurant.

The suspect has been indicted by Cuyahoga County prosecutors. But, we’ve learned investigators are still trying to determine who this man really is, and how many women did he secretly videotape?

University Circle Police say the suspect had been working at Tacologist, a restaurant on Euclid Avenue.

A woman, then, told police she found a cell phone in the ceiling recording her.

The suspect has been indicted for voyeurism and for filing forged tax documents. And, that ties into the mystery surrounding his identity.

County prosecutors say they’re working with other law enforcement to get an accurate name and history on the suspect.

Investigators are also waiting to see what they find in the suspect’s phones. He is pleading not guilty.
