It's Necessary: Name dropping at Bengals' Paul Brown Stadium
Coming soon to Downtown: Blake Maislin Stadium!
Well, OK, that's not going to happen. At least probably won't happen. Though what better way is there for "The Attorney" to top his ubiquitous billboards? But I digress.
Word on the street is that the Cincinnati Bengals plan to sell the naming rights to Paul Brown Stadium. Only two other stadiums – Soldier Field in Chicago and Lambeau Field in Green Bay – are without corporate naming deals. The Bengals have skyrocketed to become a top-tier team, and the ownership appears to be seeing dollar signs, even if it means superseding the name of the man who created the team. Whatever deal is made will still have to be voted on by the Hamilton County Commissioners, as the county owns the stadium. What might the new stadium name be? Skyline Stadium? United Dairy Field?
