Neshaminy Creek Brewing to open new taproom in Harleysville. Here's what to expect
Neshaminy Creek Brewing Company will soon have its taps flowing in Harleysville.
Construction is currently underway on a third taproom for the Bucks County craft brewery that started in Croydon in 2012. It has another location in Dublin, which opened in 2021.
The newest taproom, Neshaminy Creek Brewing’s first in Montgomery County, is going into a portion of the former Harleysville National Bank building, as part of The Vault Town Center, an ongoing redevelopment project centered around a 7-acre mixed-use campus for dining, retail and offices.
Looking to expand for quite some time, the Harleysville location was ideal, said Jenna Ball, CEO and one of the co-owners of Neshaminy Creek Brewing, noting it offered many of the same qualities they loved about Dublin, another community that has been growing its town center through concentrated revitalization efforts over the last five years.
“The model in Dublin is our sweet spot. It feels like a hometown where people have roots and need a place to gather. We had been looking for that, and it doesn’t exist everywhere,” she said.
“So, when this popped up, we pounced right away because it really checked off all the boxes.”
What to expect at the Harleysville taproom?
Neshaminy Creek Brewing’s new taproom will include about 84 seats inside, with plans for additional outdoor bistro seating overlooking Main Street in the warmer months. They also hope to make use of a shared common patio out back.
When it comes to design, Ball said they are looking to create a welcoming and relaxed space, while tying in some of the building’s original character and charm, such as keeping the original bank vault as a centerpiece of the taproom.
“The history of the building, being an old bank, lends toward creating a different sort of atmosphere,” Ball said. “It will be little more upscale in feel, a little less industrial feeling. But it is still a brewery, so we want it to be comfortable and not stuffy at all."
When will the Neshaminy Creek Brewing open in Harleysville?
Neshaminy Creek Brewing hopes to open its new Harleysville taproom by late spring or early summer, Ball said.
