Newspapers react to Dallas attack against police officers
The newspapers in Texas and across the U.S. reacted in horror to Thursday’s sniper attack in Dallas, Texas, that left five police officers dead. Some of them went to print before the death of the fifth cop was confirmed.
“AMBUSH” the Dallas Morning News declared, featuring a stirring photo of a weeping officer. Many of the Texas newspapers featured the same image.
Meanwhile, the New York tabloids also had blunt responses to the massacre. “MADNESS,” declared the Daily News. “CIVIL WAR,” the New York Post announced. (Colin Campbell/Yahoo News)
