Niagara Falls man sentenced to 25 years for manslaughter
BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — A Niagara Falls man was sentenced Monday to 25 years in state prison after pleading guilty to multiple charges, including first-degree manslaughter, the Niagara County District Attorney’s Office announced.
According to officials, 24-year-old Rohmelo Lewis killed Cortez Galmore during a robbery on May 3, 2022. Galmore had recently relocated to Niagara Falls.
Two other people involved in a string of robberies previously entered guilty pleas and were sentenced for their roles.
21-year-old Isaiah Christian was sentenced to 20 years after pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter and first-degree robbery. 20-year-old Shawn Bomberry was sentenced to two years for second-degree attempted robbery. He was not involved in the incident resulting in Galmore’s death, officials said.
Lewis pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, first-degree robbery and second-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
