Nick Cannon says he didn't witness 'freak offs' at Sean 'Diddy' Combs' parties
Nick Cannon is weighing in on the widespread rape and sex trafficking allegations against Sean "Diddy" Combs, who is in jail awaiting his 2025 criminal trial.
On the "No Jumper" podcast's "Adam & Wack Show" on Sunday, guests Cannon and Nicholas "Lush" Hurok Hyams as well as co-hosts Adam "Adam22" Grandmaison and Cash "Wack 100" Jones discussed "freak off" sex performances that federal prosecutors have accused Combs of orchestrating with unwilling participants who were allegedly under the influence of drugs.
Jones said he'd attended Combs' parties but would leave them early, claiming "I've never seen that" in regards to the freak offs. Cannon added, "I've never seen none of that either."
"I leave early," Cannon, 44, said. "I'm the DJ; when it's time for me to wrap up, I'm out."
In the segment, Wack also said there's "no crime against having a thousand bottles of baby oil," referring to U.S. attorneys' claim that 1,000 bottles of baby oil and lubricant were discovered during the raids on Combs' homes in March. When co-host Grandmaison mentioned speculation based on recent civil lawsuits that the depressant drug gamma-hydroxybutyrate (also known as GHB) could've been in the baby oil Combs is accused of using during freak-offs, Cannon pushed back.
"I think it's so much … that's sensationalized," Cannon said.
Nick Cannon: Diddy's 'karma's on trial'
Jones also referenced civil lawsuits alleging Combs sexually assaulted minors when he said, "The kids, I've never heard none of that, bro, with Puff." (One of Combs' former stage names was Puff Daddy.)
"I don't believe it either," Cannon agreed with Jones. "His karma's on trial. That's what that is."
After the co-hosts and guests discussed Combs' parties and alleged freak offs, Cannon opened up about how he felt Combs changed over the years.
"The Puff I knew, I felt he wanted to change and was evolving and was like, 'Yo, I want to be the father,'" Cannon said.
Cannon has previously opened up about feeling obligated to come to Combs' defense.
"As a friend, as a brother, I want to defend," he said in a February episode of his "Counsel Culture" show. Cannon also Called Combs "someone that called, checked on me, stood by me, stood up for me," presumably referring to his antisemitic comments in 2020.
Federal charges against Sean 'Diddy' Combs include sex trafficking
Combs was arrested at a Manhattan hotel on Sept. 16 and arraigned on sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution charges the following day.
Combs has been incarcerated in the Special Housing Unit at Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center since his arraignment and has maintained his innocence amid mounting civil lawsuits over the past year. He has pleaded not guilty to all federal criminal charges.
The charges against Combs, detailed in a 14-page federal grand jury indictment unsealed last month, revealed an extensive and ongoing federal investigation into the hip-hop icon since federal agents raided his Los Angeles and Miami homes in March.
Investigators say the 54-year-old elaborately schemed to use his finances and status in the entertainment industry to "fulfill his sexual desires" in a "recurrent and widely known" pattern of abuse, which included freak offs — sexual performances he allegedly arranged and recorded.
