Earlier in April, the BBC officially confirmed that the critically acclaimed spy thriller will be back for two more seasons, eight years after season one debuted.
Hiddleston will reprise his role as Jonathan Pine for the sequel, set eight years after he saw to the demise of Hugh Laurie's arm dealer Richard Roper.
"So Jonathan Pine – le Carré calls him the close observer – has been alive in the world, and he will be eight or nine years older, just as I am," the Loki star told Deadline ahead of the second season.
"I just think it will be so fascinating to see where he is, what he's doing, how he's operating, what he's thinking, what's changed and what hasn't changed and hopefully we can create the same sort of chemistry we made on the first one."

The Crown star Elizabeth Debicki, who played Pine's secret lover Jed Marshall in season one, is not expected to return. There's also been no news on whether Olivia Colman will return.
Season one was based on the bestselling novel by acclaimed spy writer John le Carré, with season two being penned by series creator David Farr.
Reports suggest that the second season will see Pine forced to respond to a new threat following the death of Roper.
The Night Manager seasons 2 and 3 will air on BBC One and BBC iPlayer in the UK, and Prime Video worldwide.
