Nikki Reed Discusses Vampire Diaries, Love for Animals & Airport Style (Or Lack Thereof)
Actress Nikki Reed isn’t a grungy teenager anymore. That angsty girl in Thirteen (2003) might have been (semi) based on Reed’s real life, and she made a pretty convincing skater girl in Lords of Dogtown (2005), but now you’re more likely to spot the budding director in ladylike looks—she’ll even wear a fringe leather skirt in subzero temps. Though, it’s not just her style that has evolved.
Reed is recently engaged to Ian Somerhalder and just directed her first film. She’s starred in the comedy film Murder of a Cat, and continues to lead philanthropic efforts to foster animals. She’s a well-rounded woman, who wants to save the world. In our latest installment of “I Yahoo’d Myself,” Reed ditches her vampire fangs to talk with Yahoo Style’s Sam Lane about her love of cats, dogs, and horses. Not to mention, her newfound interest in style.
