New Orleans police name suspect in Central City murder case
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department has named a suspect in a murder investigation. Police are asking for the public’s help to locate him.
The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
No arrest one week after 15-year-old’s murder in New Orleans
The case involves a shooting that was reported around 1:40 in the morning on July 23 in the 2400 block of Dryades Street. At the scene, police found the victim with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at a hospital and was later identified as 41-year-old Tony Jones.
About 10 days after the attack, police named 39-year-old Dana “Dante” Dorceus as the suspect. Now, they’re asking the public for information on Dorceus’ whereabouts.

You don’t have to reveal your name or testify in court to be eligible to earn a cash reward from Crimestoppers.
So far, more than 470 people have been booked after their cases rolled on the Wheel of Justice.
