NOPD releases persons of interest pictures in murder case
NEW ORLEANS (WGNO) — The New Orleans Police Department released security camera images of multiple people, all of them considered persons of interest in a homicide investigation. None of them are considered a suspect. The case is the latest one to roll on the Wheel of Justice.
The shooting happened in the middle of the afternoon on Saturday, Aug. 24, in the 3700 block of Washington Avenue. Police responded to reports of gunfire in the area and found a 47-year-old man with gunshot wounds at an apartment building. The victim died at a hospital.
The following day, police released multiple security camera images of people considered to be persons of interest in the case, not suspects.

The victim was later identified by the coroner’s office as 47-year-old Richard L. Milton.
Police are hoping that the persons of interest in the case could provide information that helps identify and locate the person responsible for the homicide.
